GoPets Treadwheel Lets Your Dog Burn Off Extra Energy Inside – March 12th, 2012

By Amy Tokic

You may think that you’re looking at a hamster wheel, but this piece of exercise equipment is for your pooch.

The TreadWheel is available in a few different sizes, so there’s no excuse why dogs big and small can’t get in shape or burn off some extra energy. Forget about taking a walk in the rain, snow or extreme cold. Your dog can get in a few laps, all in the comfort of your living room. Of course, the TreadWheel isn’t meant to replace a proper walk; it’s just supposed to supplement your dog’s existing exercise routine.

The TreadWheel is made of stainless steel and runs on pure pooch power. It comes with a training door, a special cushioned running mat and special resistance settings. Another great thing about the TreadWheel is that it’s easy to clean… just in case of accidents.

The TreadWheel starts at around $475 and is available at GoPets.

Dog Names Duos: Dixie & Trixie – October 23rd, 2010

This week’s dog names duos are:

Dixie & Trixie

Dixie and Trixie are two female mixed breed, (Labrador, Bassett hound and Spaniel), 10 week old pups.

They were rescued from a kill shelter in Georgia and now reside in PA.

Even though they are now “Northerners” we wanted to stay with a southern theme for their names!

They just love the outdoors, and snuggling together on the sofa. We are so pleased to have them!

Male Dog Names: Ziggy – October 5th, 2010

This week’s male dog name is:

Ziggy

Ziggy is a 3 year old miniature poodle and has quickly become the most spoiled dog on earth. Learning how to cuddle at a very young age, Ziggy will melt your heart with his kisses and hugs (yes, I said hugs).

He is very energetic. So much so that even when you tell him you don’t want his toy anymore, he will try to force it into your hand to get you to play with him. His favorite toy is an old house shoe that he refuses to let me throw away even after 3 years of chewing.

He loves going for walks and playing with the children. Sometimes I think he can tell time too. When bedtime rolls around, he whines at me to go to bed. Then once in bed, he sleeps with his head on my pillow with me only to wake me for work in the morning with his gentle nudging.

Girl Dog Names: Little Bit – June 10th, 2010

This week’s girl dog name is:

Little Bit

Little Bit is a 1 year old female Beagle whose nicknames are: Itty Bitty, Bits, and Bitsy

She loves to play with her stuffed animal toys and will even fall fast asleep with one still in her mouth!

Little Bit’s favorite food is puppy chow, but she also loves cheese, which she isn’t allowed to have very often.

She loves to go on a walk, but is still too small for the dog park.

That’s Ok, because there is so much stuff to sniff just on the sidewalk and surrounding fields that she is more than happy, and it keeps her eager Beagle nose occupied!
