My Little Niblit
I have a teacup chihuahua girl and named her Niblit..My husband and I were sitting on the couch looking at her and saying silly names and niblit (snall corn on the cob) just came out and she went bonkers jumping all over the place. The name just seemed to fit her. We had 14 wonderful years with her...when stranger saw her they would say what's her name and we would say Niblit and they would smile or laugh or would say that's a cute name..It never got old. |

To "ette" or not to "ette"
Our dog is a black lab mix. She looks mostly like a lab, but with a hint of brown raisin color behind her ears and on her neck. She was a rescue dog, and the rescue owner named her "raisinette" because of her coloring. I couldn't bring myself to keep the full name, but being the smart dog she is, already responded to the name so we shortened it to Raisin. Best dog I have ever had! She is our heart :) |

Rikich is the best
We bought a small female Italian Greyhound puppy, and of course we had a problem choosing a name for her. In Russia There is a kids movie (something like cartoon)called "Riki Tiki Tawi". It was about a mongoose who was very brave and fought a cobra. When I was a child I liked this movie very much, so we decided to call our dog "Riki". After we found out, that Riki is a male's name, and means "powerful leader", and in some way, this name fits our dog's temper (now she is 1.5 years old). Now we call our dog "Riki" or "Rikich" or "Rikvasya" or "Kvasya" or even "Marusya":) |
