Boomer |
Goofy Boomer
I have a brown lab, Australia shepherd, rottweiler mix. I got them from our local Area Humane Society and he was scrawny then and only a year or so old. But he grew to be a big goofy puppy. Even though he came with the name Cabo he would never answer or respond to that name so we renamed him Boomer. We had him since last year March and then loving him ever since. |

FALKOR WAS A RESCUE AT AGE 6 MONTHS AND HE HAS BEEN A GREAT ASSET TO THE FAMILY. HE IS A BIG CUDDLE PARTNER AND ENJOYS ONE ON ONE TIME. |

Ophelia |
The Oph
My family just rescued a plott hound from Kentucky! We named her Ophelia after the lumineers album, which is surprising because most people think she's named after the character in Hamlet. When she gets bigger (she is a puppy still)we are going to call her "The Oph" |

Xena |
Xena; The Warrior Princess
She is our youngest pup, now about to have her 1st birthday. She is a companion to the next youngest pup, and they are the two largest pups in the house...by a longshot. I didn't want an "M" name for her but wanted a name that meshed with "Max". Using the "X" in Max as a matching point, I came up with Xena. My Xena is an Akita/Rottweiler 50/50 mix. She is the guardian of the house as both breeds naturally take that role. She is also one of the sweetest large dogs ever, giving the best hugs and cuddles ever. |

Max |
Celebrity Dog Names
We had just seen the movie "Max" prior to adopting our Max. The boys immediately decided that the new pup, thought to be a German Shepherd mix (DNA testing would prove that NO GSD blood was present, looked enough like the dog from the movie that "Max" would be the perfect name. |

Taylor |
Robert Taylor, look out.
He, is an adorable Min pin. Two years old and a rescue. He chose his name. And it's quite a masculine one I must say. Fits him perfectly. He truly is a lot like the actor, Robert Taylor. |

Wicket |
Ewok
Wicket is an Ewok, a creature from one of the Star Wars original trilogy movies. He pretty much looks like a teddy bear but walks on two legs. My Wicket is a Maltese/Yorkie (Morkie) and as a puppy was a mixture of reddish brown and tan/cream coloring. A fluffy fuzzball, he used to rear up to reach his paws to the edge of the couch cushions. He did this one night before we named him, and he looked EXACTLY like an Ewok, the creature from the Star Wars movie. Wicket immediately came to mind. |

Chase |
Paw Patrol
Paw Patrol is a cartoon that features dogs in rescue roles (police, fireman, etc). They work together to help their community when in trouble. When we adopted Chase, a MinPin/Chihuahua, or when he adopted us, my then 4 year old son said he looked just like "Chase" from the cartoon and so Chase was named. |
