Rinky is short Röntgen, who discovered X-rays. Since my boyfriend and I are both radiologic technologist, we found Röntgen to be fitting and call him Rinky for short :) |

I was having trouble finding a name to fit my Great Pyrenees puppy and I found the word Berit "is a girl's name of Scandinavian and Dutch origin, and the meaning of Berit is "gorgeous, splendid, magnificient" ". Which to me is the definition of the Pyrenees Breed. |

Murdo is lurcher (cross greyhound mum, Bedlington terrier dad). He is black/ grey rough coated dog. He is a rescue dog we aquired in Scotland, hence the Scottish name Murdo (a diminutive form of Murdoch). |

We loved the name and really anted an "ie" sounding ending, some family members wanted it spelled Cali, or Kalie, or Cally, but in the end my daughter had the final word and our little Golden Retriever pooch got her name :) |

I adopted my dog from the SPCA and she already had the name of Bonzai. I decided to keep the name after I saw her crazy nature. Nothing stopped this dog from running, jumping and playing. She had no fear. As a border collie/jack russell mix the name truly fits her nature. |

Life With Numi
We just said goodbye to Numi after eight wonderful years with her. Numi was her name when we first saw her at the adopt-a pet center. Not sure of the origin of her name but it just fit her perfectly. She was a border collie, spaniel mix, beautiful and all black with thick paws, around 46 pounds. We miss her a lot. Very smart, obstinate,funny dog who loved to eat anything, especially store-bought coffee cakes or nice ornamental candles. We were blessed to have her in our lives. |
